The Process of Pursuing the Fairness of Linguistic Inheriting in Schooling: An Intrinsic Case Study on Three Yugur Linguistic Educational Trials

 

内容简介/Abstract:

裕固族是中国的人口较少民族之一,其两种本族语言已经成为濒危语言。改革开放以来,裕固族地区先后开展了三次裕固语教育试验,展开了在学校教育中追求语言公平传承的奋斗历程。该个案研究在描述这一社会过程的基础上,阐明该历程实际上是多个社会行动者在一定社会文化脉络中展开话语竞争的过程,并对在此过程中人们很少关注和倾听儿童青少年主位“声音”的现象作出反思,进而指出,被“进步”的思想观念和“发展”的意识形态过分束缚和过分鼓荡是当代中国问题的一个显著特征。

Yugur is one of the ethnic groups with small population in China. Their two native languages have become endangered languages in this day and age. Since the reforming and opening up, there was a social process including three educational trials successively in Yugur region aimed at pursuing the fairness of Yugur linguistic inheriting in the schooling. This article, based on the description of that social process, firstly clarified that, below the surface, that process was actually a discourse competition by number of social actors in a certain social and cultural contexts; and then reflected on the ignoring of the emic voices of the children and adolescents; further pointed out that, one noteworthy characteristic in contemporary China is being over restricted and agitated by the so called concept of advanced and the ideology of development.
