On 8 Mar. 2014, six students from CFP2012 class gathered at SSDPP to hold their regular session of Capacity Building Salon. The theme of this session is how to sustain the Capacity Building Salon and improve communication mechanism of the program.

In retrospect, the 7 students of the 2012 CFP class had held 2 capacity building salons in the 2014 spring semester. On Jan. 17, 2014, Fang Ying hosted a session to introduce Africa to classmates. The theme is closely related to her work at the Asia and Africa Section of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). One week later, on 25 Jan., Zhang Bingli organized a special edition of Capacity Building Salon by inviting the whole cohort to the recording of a TV program by China’s Central Television which features the group of Countryside Doctors in China. The experience of successful organization of the above two sessions helped the program develop a sustainable mechanism for the event.

The meeting on March 8 also touched upon other issues including the ways to further improve the format of the programs regular briefings.

China Fellowship Program (usually referred to CFP) was jointly set up by School of Social Development & Public Policy at Beijing Normal University and Ford Foundation in 2008 to promote the cultivation of leading talent for social development.
