Content introduction:
  This talk will focus on three issues: 1) sex differences and gendered health, 2) gender based violence and health, and 3) gender equity in health. 

Feng Yuan, an activist as founding members or once the leader of several women’s rights nongovernmental initiatives in China, covered a range of Gender and Development Network in China, the Anti Domestic Violence Network, Media Monitor Network for women, the Beijing-Tianjin Facilitators' Team on Gender and Development, and the Gender and Development Monthly Gatherings in Beijing. Prior to becoming an freelancer, employed as a professor for creating a center for women’s studies in Shantou University, Guangdong Province, the coordinator for Gender and Women's Rights of the China office of Actionaid International, assistant to the editor-in-chief of China Women's News, a national daily. Earlier career included a staff reporter with the People's Daily, Finance Monthly.
