Content introduction:
Along with the increase of the number of migrant children, this group has become a major concern in our society. As a result, some people, enterprises, and philanthropic organizations have carried out various charitable activities for them. The helper’s behaviors are different during these activities, so this research seeks to find the impact of these different charitable behaviors on migrant children. The article take use of problem perspective model and strength perspective model as tool, and do this research in qualitative method. The research comes to some conclusions as follows. First, the helpers have different perspective to migrant children, the problem perspective model and strength perspective model. Second, because of different perspectives, the helpers’ charitable behaviors are distinguished in four aspects: focus on children problems or strength; children have equal status or not; children could participate during charitable activities or not; and offer children just material or improve their abilities. Third, the charitable behaviors under problem perspective model have some negative impacts on children: To reduce children’s self-efficacy; damage children’s self-esteem. By contrast, the charitable behaviors under strength perspective model have some positive impacts on children: improve children’s self-efficacy; protect children’s self-esteem.
