About the Talk

Recently, child poverty has received increasingly international attention, particularly with its relation to child development. However, there is controversy about the measurements and definitions of child poverty. This study, drawing upon quantitative analysis of 900 students in Beijing, compares different measurements of child poverty (such as income poverty, self-perceived poverty, and deprivation poverty) and their implications to child development.
