About the Talk 
Currently, “big data” is precious resource that can be utilized in various fields. With the accumulation of big data in field of education, it reveals great potential for policy analysis and decision-making. In this talk, Dr Chen Xinxiang will introduce education-related data collection, data mining and policy analysis. 


About the Speaker 
Dr. Xinxiang Chen is a research associate III at nSPARC, Mississippi State University. His research interests are social demography, economic sociology, organization, social networks, health, labor markets, urban sociology, immigration, and public policy. Chen received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota.
