Badminton Game of SSDPP - Charm of Badminton, Happiness First

On the evening of October 14, 2023, the Badminton Game of SSDPP, titled "Let's Play Badminton Together in October", was successfully kicked off at the Qiujiduan Gym. It was a little bit cold in the evening, but the enthusiasm of the students remained undiminished and the competition was very exciting.

Professional referees were invited for the event, and the game was divided into 5 rounds of singles matches and 4 rounds of doubles matches. The contestants included master and doctoral students from various grades at SSDPP, and received on-site support from Li Jina and Shen Haotong. 16 singles players and 10 pairs of doubles players fought hard on the field, showing the healthy and upward sports spirit of SSDPP's students.

The players went all out and competed fiercely at the court. The badminton ball bounced back and forth in the air, and the players moved, smashed, picked the ball or put it in front of the net, showing their skills incisively and vividly...Their brilliant performance won applause from the audience, and the whole game was full of excitement.

Powerful swings, wonderful chopping and all-out fighting made the charm of badminton infect the entire venue..

After several rounds of intense competition, Chen Zexin and Yin Jiayi advanced to the singles final. The two skilled players demonstrated agile movements and powerful smash, showcasing perfect offense and defense to the fullest. Their wonderful performance won the cheers of audience. In the end, Chen Zexin won the championship, and Yin Jiayi and Shang Hui were ranked second and third respectively.

The doubles arena was also very exciting, with women's doubles group Shang Hui and Yang Yaya meeting with mixed doubles group Dong Zhirong and Na Xin in the final. In the end, Shang Hui and Yang Yaya won the championship with a score of 21:19 through tacit cooperation, while Dong Zhirong and Na Xin, Xiao Huiyu and Hui Yueming won the runner up and third place respectively.

The successful hosting of the badminton game provided a stage for our students interested in badminton to show themselves and mobilized everyone's enthusiasm for sports. The contestants showed their personal style in the fierce game, experienced cooperation and competition at the event, and enhanced their friendship with each other through exchanging skills. This competition showed not only the players' superb skills, but also the spirit of unity and courage among the young people at SSDPP.

Thanks to the contestants for their excellent performance, thanks to all the students for their active participation, thanks to the sports department personnel of the graduate association who have put in effort to organize the event, and thanks to the teachers and students for their strong support for the game!
