Our Students Present at the 2023 Academic Conference of the Campus Bullying and Violence Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society

From November 24 to 26, 2023, the 2023 Academic Conference of the Campus Bullying and Violence Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society and the Fourth Academic Symposium on Campus Bullying and Violence Prevention and Control was held at the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University in Shanghai. With the theme of "Scientific Prevention and Control of Campus Bullying and Violence", the event focused on academic discussions on topics such as prevention and intervention plans for campus bullying, the origin and impact of adolescent cyberbullying, diversity of adolescent bullying prevention behaviors, and the personal characteristics of bullying participants as well. More than 200 domestic and foreign experts, scholars, and frontline educators were present at the seminar.


This event includes seven keynote speeches given by well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad, as well as seven group seminars with 69 reports, two special forums on the prevention and control of bullying and violence in primary and secondary schools with 20 reports, one presentation with 20 exhibition reports, and one workshop themed on "Guidance and Training on Campus Bullying Handling", mainly studying the influencing factors and mechanisms of campus bullying and violence from the perspectives of psychology, education, law and sociology, as well as how to effectively carry out preventive intervention practices.


Xin Guogang, a doctoral student enrolled at SSDPP in 2023, was present at the event and delivered a report titled "the Relationship between Bullying Types and Internet Addiction among Rural Adolescents: A Study Based on Internet Analysis" at a group seminar. This study focuses on the network structure, core symptoms and bridging symptoms between various kinds of bullying and adolescent internet addiction symptoms, providing a theoretical basis for developing intervention measures targeting specific types of bullying and related internet addiction symptoms, and getting positive responses from participating experts. The experts exchanged ideas and discussed key issues in the study, providing important guidance for improvement of the study.
