SSDPP's Badminton Game Meet you on the badminton court

On the evening of March 11, 2023, SSDPP's Badminton Game kicked off successfully in a spring rain. It was a bit cold, but all the contestants were enthusiastic and the game was full of excitement.

Professional referees from other colleges were invited for this event. It adopted the rule of 21 points for boys and 15 points for girls in opposite sex matches, and 21 points for same-sex matches. There were a total of 5 rounds of singles and 4 rounds of doubles matches. The contestants included not only master's, doctoral, and MPA graduate students from all grades, but also some teachers such as Zhang Baiyu, Liu Danqing and Shen Haotong. 15 singles players and 9 pairs of doubles players gathered on the badminton court, making the event more exciting.

The referees were serious and conscientious, ensuring the fairness, continuity, and enjoyment of the game.

After careful preparation, the players' professional movements such as drive service and hop catch were so cool, earning continuous applause from the audience. The fierce competition between the evenly matched players made the game more exciting, with occasional enthusiastic cheers and the cheers such as "good shots" coming from the field.

With precise serve, powerful smash, clever drop shot, and offensive and defensive conversion, the athletes strived with high fighting spirit on the field.

After several rounds of intense competition, the championship battle for doubles began between He Qianyun/Yin Jiayi and Yang Yaya/Shang Hui. In the end, Yang Yaya and Shang Hui won the doubles championship with a score of 21:12; He Qianyun/Yin Jiayi and Yang Ling/Douyuan respectively won the second and third places.

In terms of singles matches, Yin Jiayi and Yang Yaya ultimately reached the final. The tactics of both sides have their own characteristics, winning applause and cheers from the audience. In the end, Yin Jiayi won the championship with rich combat experience and exquisite playing skills. Yang Yaya and Xuxiao Jingyuan respectively won the second and third places.
