SSDPP Delegation Visit China-Africa Business Council

 

Director of SSDPP China-Africa Development Studies Center Prof. Yang Lichao and 5 international graduates from Africa visited China-Africa Business Council on January 28, 2013. Mr. Bai Xiaofeng, section chief of programs department of the council received the SSDPP delegation. The purpose of the visit is discuss on the possibilities of building up deeper collaboration between the two sides iproviding tailor-made talent to Chinese enterprises in Africa and promote better understanding between China and Africa through the work of China-knowing African students.

 

Prof. Yang Lichao introduced the schools flagship masters program in Contemporary Development of China and its competitive edge in cultivating China-knowing international students, before the five students from Africa Judith Samwel, Charlotte Arinaitwe, Hassan Onell Telema, Sussane Nambatya and Martin Larbi shared their experience studying in China as well as their sincere expectations to work on promoting understanding between China and Africa in future. Mr. Bai Xiaofeng from China-Africa Business Council responded their sharing warmly and spoke highly of the significance of the CDC program.

 

The meeting reached to the following agreements:

1.China-Africa Business Council will act as a bridge between SSDPP African students and Chinese enterprises in Africa in providing students working opportunities.

2.China-Africa Business Council will offer internship opportunities for all African students from SSDPP with daily stipend of no less than 150 Yuan, or around 25 US dollars.
