What is public consulting service? How can we ensure our consulting solutions work well? How should counselors work with NGOs to promote the smooth implementation of consulting service? With these questions in mind, the "CFP Capacity Building Workshop" organized the students to visit the "2013 Core World Social Innovation Week" project in Lang Park Vintage Cultural and Creative Park on the afternoon of May 1. Seven people, including SSDPP's ordinary postgraduates, CFP students and graduates were invited to participate in the public consulting activity in A Better Community (ABC). The participants learned the micro-project workflow of the staff of Accentur and other professional consulting agencies and experienced real professional public consulting service.

In the event, with the real case - "Business Channel Construction for Caisangzi Miaohui Project (Social Enterprise)" as the topic, the participants were divided into corporate group, NGO group and education group to talk about how to inherit the intangible cultural heritage of Miao nationality in the southeast of Guizhou Province through community-friendly development model, how to establish a sustainable industry chain and gain more economic income for social enterprises under the premise of achieving the overall goal of promoting rural development by urban growth, industrial cultural inheritage and poverty alleviation through development of cultural industry.

SSDPP's students demonstrated outstanding performance in the group presentation. Their confident conversation and innovative ideas deeply impressed the activity organizers and the Case Customer CaiSangZi. The solution of Liu Xin, Cui Sen, Luo Di and Tan Tieling’s NGO Group even won the "Best Creative Award".

Founded at the end of 2008, A Better Community (ABC) is the first domestic organization composed of volunteers to provide free public welfare consulting services for small and medium sized NGOs. Through integrating the quality resources of professionals and college teachers and students, ABC mainly provides professional analysis and solutions for SMEs’ strategy, marketing, operations, management and fundraising, striving to make public organizations have the opportunity to get the same management consulting services as businesses.
