On July 12, 2013, the EASP 10th Annual Conference 2013: Managing Rapid Social Change and Growing Diversity, Social Policy Responses and Changing Governance in East Asia, which was jointly organized by SSDPP and EASP, was successfully concluded in Yingdong Academic Hall.

The conference was presided by Professor Mok Ka Ho of Hong Kong Institute of Education and Professor Zhang Xiulan of SSDPP and lasted for two days. Themed "Managing Rapid Social Change and Growing Diversity, Social Policy Responses and Changing Governance in East Asia", the event has six sub-forums on education, family, health, welfare, etc, and 11 sub-themes as well. It aims at analyzing how to integrate social welfare and social service forces to respond to the rapid social, economic and cultural changes in East Asia, and exploring the establishment of an appropriate strategy and method to meet the needs of social transformation and people's welfare needs as well. 

About 100 experts and scholars from the U.S., UK and other European countries, South Korea, Japan and other East Asian countries were invited to attend the event. They carried out in-depth discussions and make academic dialogues on the relevant topic and exchanged ideas at the meeting.
