Professors of National Autonomous University of Mexico gives lecture at SSDPP 

 

Prof. Silvia Núñez García and Elizabeth Gutiérrez Romero of National Autonomous University of Mexico visited SSDPP on November 7 2011 and delivered a lecture on "An Overview of Mexico-U.S. Relations".

 

Professor Silvia Núñez García is the Director of the Center for Research on North America (CISAN-UNAM), at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she also holds the position as researcher of U.S.-Mexico relations since 1989. She teaches U.S. and Canadian Studies at the School of Social and Political Sciences at UNAM and has also been a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University and Michigan State University among other international institutions. Her field of expertise is social structure and social problems in North America. Prof. Núñez is a distinguished member of the U.S.-Mexico Fulbright Commission and from June 2011 she has been appointed as Member of the Advisory Board of the Woodrow Wilson Center Mexico Institute.

 

 

Professor Elizabeth Gutiérrez Romero is Academic Secretary of the Center for Research on North America (CISAN-UNAM), at the National Autonomuos University of Mexico, where she is also a full time researcher of the Area of Globality Studies. Her research areas are: 1) Sectoral and regional studies in North America; 2) The service sector in the economic structure of the countries of North America.
